There's a First Time for Everything....

Whooda thunk it??? I'm making quilts and LOVING it - and I've created a blog designed to show them off!

My grandma has quilted for as long as I can remember. She learned the art from her mother. They used to gather cotton straight from the fields and use small combs called bats to fluff it up. They'd use their homemade batting to fill the quilts they'd made.

I have my mother-in-law to thank for getting me started in this hobby. She bought a quilting machine and taught my husband and I how to use it. We've been hooked ever since.

My mom gave me a sewing machine that originally belonged to my grandma and I'm now in the quilting business.

I plan to use this blog to show my progress on each quilt I make. Let me know what you think. Color and pattern suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

That's the beauty of quilting - THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS.
